About your practitioner:
My name is Ruth M. Schopper-Hughes. I was born in Sacramento, California. I am married to Ted and we have two adult children, Emily and John. I am your personal therapist providing Reflexology and Thai Foot Massage. I offer you professional, experienced and customized service in your own private setting.
I graduated from Massage School in 1986. My education and love of Reflexology began in 1990 with an amazing weekend seminar taught by the Foot Ladies of San Diego. Muff (RIP) and Bobby Warren taught me The Original Ingham Method. In Southern California I worked for The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Physical Therapists and Chiropractors.
After moving to Clearwater Florida in 1995, I worked for the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa and Massage Envy. I attended the world famous International Institute of Reflexology in St. Pete where I had the enormous privilege of being taught by “The Footman” himself, Dwight Byers (RIP). Dwight was the nephew of the late Eunice Ingham, the original pioneer and developer of Reflexology. I proudly became Certified in 2012 and opened my own business. Since then, I have focused all my continued education on being the best Reflexologist I can be. Some of my notable teachers have been Gail Byers, James Pedersen, Ken Bryant, Lilian Morten, Tony Porter, Margie Meshew, Ariela Grodner, Sally Kay and Sam Belyea.
I will continue learning and listening to my clients, who are my very best teachers.
